Today we interview Jose Antonio Cascallana Arroyo<\/strong>, Manager of IC Laboratories.<\/span> We hope you get to know his experience working at our company.<\/p>\n

What is your role within Inprotech?<\/h3>\n

I am the Manager of IC Laboratories.<\/p>\n

What would you highlight about Inprotech as a company?<\/h3>\n

The pride and responsibility of managing and executing a team and exciting, meaningful projects within Inprotech. At the moment, we are immersed in a particularly thrilling project with the Xunta, and I have had the privilege of planning and executing every aspect, making it undoubtedly the challenge of the year for the team.<\/p>\n

What has Inprotech meant for your professional career?<\/span><\/h3>\n

It has allowed me to regain faith and enthusiasm in what I do: I work on a challenging and inspiring project with internal impact for the company, but also external impact, as from Inprosec we are helping position Galicia as a benchmark in cybersecurity for industrial environments. Additionally, I joined from a multinational for the project (yes, there are people who also value projects) and I hadn\u2019t experienced such a pleasant and dynamic work environment in a long time. Of course, it should be noted that I\u2019m the \u201cgrandpa\u201d of the company.<\/p>\n

How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?<\/h3>\n

In my case, going against the norm, since I had done teleworking for many years, coming to the office at least two days a week counted as a “positive.” Having direct interaction with colleagues, especially with the team I collaborate with most on a daily basis in projects, is essential\u2026 reverse work-life balance? I manage well, I get time for family, friends, and leisure\u2026<\/p>\n

Tell us an anecdote that happened to you at Inprotech<\/h3>\n

The face of someone when they suddenly saw me on the other side of the table. That\u2019s all I can reveal.<\/p>\n

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprotech?<\/h3>\n

Closeness, trust from management in what we do and how we do it, a work environment with presence, in the activity I am involved in, dynamism and networking within the Galician cyber sector. Well, and for the first time in my life I can also walk to the office, that counts too, right?<\/p>\n

As an employee of a cybersecurity company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting out regarding their systems?<\/h3>\n

Get trained in cybersecurity and surround yourself with good professionals, keep an eye on the evolution of AI in offensive cybersecurity (defensive cybersecurity is far behind), carefully evaluate providers and solutions when investing in cybersecurity\u2014some companies spend more on marketing than on solution quality. Additionally, in cybersecurity there is also a \u201clocal market\u201d that generates more trust and a closer, personalized relationship.<\/p>\n

What are your hobbies<\/em> after a workday?<\/h3>\n

Mondays: meeting with BUP colleagues; Wednesdays: wine tasting with friends (mostly red wines); family walks; reading novels, technical books, and comics; listening to music, preferably on vinyl (YES, it sounds better than digital formats). The last hobby I hope you can buy in a few months in some bookstore, and I would gift it to the entrepreneur from the previous question.<\/p>\n
