Interview in AUTOREVISTA

This month we have had the honor of being interviewed by “Autorevista”, a professional magazine about the automotive industry, pioneer and leader in our country. If you are interested in knowing the complete interview, we leave it below:

Q: HOW COULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE CLUSTER?

A: InprOTech was born in 2017 in the 2nd edition of the BFA, an initiative of the cluster that is still valid today. Since then we have remained closely linked to CEAGA and since the beginning of 2019 we have been associated. For us it is very valuable to be part of a body that brings together so much knowledge and experience of automotive companies, favoring collaboration between them and providing the possibility to keep abreast of the latest developments in the sector. We can also highlight its training unit (UCC) and its function as a purchasing center through which they also contribute a lot of value.

Q: WHAT HAS IT BROUGHT TO YOUR COMPANY AND WHAT HAS IT BROUGHT TO YOUR COMPANY?

A: CEAGA gives us visibility and the possibility of collaborating in various projects with other companies in the cluster, in addition to the benefits mentioned above. On the part of InprOTech, we bring our experience in the field of industrial cybersecurity making factories more secure. On more than one occasion we have actively participated in training and awareness sessions, both in the field of cybersecurity in general, and specifically in Data Protection and Industrial Cybersecurity.

Q: HOW DO YOU ASSESS CEAGA’S TRAJECTORY DURING THIS TIME?

A: CEAGA has a large number of members (companies) and this number has been growing significantly in recent years. In addition, in its last annual assembly in which we were present, it was highlighted the fact of having reached a historical turnover record. These data reflect the value they bring to the sector, to their associates and how they help to strengthen the sector and encourage collaboration not only to add, but to multiply.

Q: HOW DO YOU COLLABORATE IN CLUSTER PROJECTS RELATED TO THE NEW CHALLENGES OF DIGITALIZATION, ELECTRIFICATION, SUSTAINABILITY AND UNCERTAINTY MANAGEMENT?

A: We are currently collaborating in the Innovative Business Clusters Support Program Project promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, where the objective of the project is the implementation and validation of an industrial cybersecurity system that will allow us to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover an industrial environment from threats in OT networks. Precisely in this project we are the partner presenting the solution, and we have the opportunity to work and collaborate with two other partners in a project for the future but with a very imminent and real need.

Q: WHAT ROLE ARE PROJECTS SUCH AS BFA OR ENTITIES SUCH AS UCC PLAYING AND WILL PLAY IN THE FUTURE FOR THE CONTINUITY OF THE SECTOR IN THE BEST COMPETITIVE CONDITIONS?

A: For InprOTech as a company that was born in the BFA, these programs are an essential tool to promote the creation of new companies that are capable of detecting new opportunities and market needs, improving the competitiveness of the sector. The other day we were told that the success and survival rate of BFA “start-ups” is very high and well above average, among other things thanks to the support and origin in a real need of CEAGA companies. The UCC is one of the most active training organizations focused on the real needs we can find in Galicia, with great value and really competitive costs.

Q: WHAT ARE THE DEMANDS AND NEEDS OF CEAGA MEMBER COMPANIES? IN WHICH AREAS WOULD IT BE ADVISABLE TO WORK TO BOOST SUSTAINABLE COMPETITIVENESS?

A: On our part, we believe that maintaining and strengthening collaboration with the administration and innovation organizations (Digital Hubs) is a clear need and recommendation. CEAGA must continue to bet on innovative projects that can help the Galician automotive sector grow, keeping it at the forefront and accommodating all the talent we currently have. We must also insist on digitalization and modernization, but always in a safe way. Precisely in this area, we must diversify and enhance the digital part, an area from which many BFA companies and innovative solutions with a high digital component emerge. Specifically, cybersecurity is a cross-cutting process and need that is already being demanded as a requirement, but it must be seen as an important competitive value and, as such, we should promote and strengthen it.
